 The Philippines, located in Southeast Asia, is known for its very nice beaches and beach resorts. A lot of tourists go to this haven all throughout the year since it is a tropical country. Although the weather can be hot and humid, the lovely hospitality of the locals and the glorious beaches is enticing to tourists. And when the summer sun shines brightly, it seems to beckon to us to pack our colorful bags, huge umbrellas, along with our suntan lotions and head straight to the white sandy beaches.

Boracay

Boracay is a tropical island famous for its white sand beaches and can rival the popular beaches in the Caribbean and the South Pacific area. The White Beach is what most people love about Boracay. It is a lovely stretch of powdery white sand against azure water. This very long beach is divided into three stations with station 1 having the widest beach front area and where prime hotels and resorts are found.

The most suitable months for swimming on the White Beach is during the dry season -from November to April. But on the other side of the island where there are large winds and waves, wind surfing and wave running are activities that you can engage in.

The rainy seasons which falls on the months from June to October, the reverse thing happens. White Beach now has large waves and makes it unsuitable for swimming.

Panglao Island, Bohol City Philippines

Pangulasian Island From El Nido, PalawanBohol is the tenth largest island of the Philippines and is located in the middle of the Visayas region. Because it is surrounded by other islands on all sides, it doesn't experience as much heavy typhoons and rains unlike the other parts of the region.

The beaches are located in Panglao Island. One of the most developed beach on Panglao is the Alona Beach. It is located southwest of the island and stretches about one and a half kilometers long. There are a lot of nice, affordable resorts equipped with diving, snorkeling and dining establishments.

A friendly warning: sea urchins inhabit the sea in large numbers around twenty or thirty meters away so be careful when wading.

Palawan

A lot of travelers are fascinated with El Nido due to its scenic landscapes, crystal clear waters and the relative isolation that offers a person quiet relaxation. There are 45 islands and islets with the surrounding sea that provides a lot of adventure and enjoying the pleasures that nature brings.

You can engage in kayaking in lagoons, go on a mangrove tour, snorkeling or diving with tropical fishes, fishing, bird watching, picnic lunches of sunbathing in a white sand beach, among others.

Camiguin, Cagayan City

This tiny island with lush forests and seven volcanoes, eternal hot and cold natural springs, white beaches and majestic waterfalls would suit the traveler who is looking for an idyllic vacation.

The Camiguin province has been identified by the Department of Tourism as one of the top 25 tourist destinations in the Philippines, and No. 7 diving spot in the world.

 Mactan Island, Cebu

Mactan Island is located just a few kilometers from Cebu. From Cebu you need to cross either of the two bridges - Mactan Bridge or Marcelo Fernan Bridge to reach Mactan. This island has all the major beach resorts offering diving, snokling, jet skiing, para sailing, island hopping and where the historical Lapu-Lapu Shrine can be found. Datu Lapu-Lapu, one of the chieftains at that time, was engaged in a tribal warfare with Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan.

The lovely beaches with a water temperature between 27-30 C is ideal for diving or swimming all year round. You can also visit Malapascua Island, famous for its white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters or Moalboal, one of the first places where scuba diving caught on.

Puerto Galera, Sabang Beach, White Beach

Dubbed as the Pearl of Mindoro, Puerto Galera has one of the world's most natural harbors. It is world-famous for splendid beaches, coral reefs and dive sites. (Visit Sabang Beach or White Beach.) The scuba diving season is year round. From its start of "backyard tourism" where local residents accepted guests in their homes, the island has now flourished with resorts, hotels and inns within the area.

Pearl Farm, Samal Island Davao City

If you travel to the southern part of the Philippines, the Samal group of Islands (nine islands in all) is a beautiful, tranquil, exotic island with a coastline adorned with white sand beaches, colorful marine life, flourishing flora and fauna. The Pearl Farm is nestled on the quiet side of Samal Isalnd, a 45 min. boat ride from the wharf, and is a world-class resort. The named Pearl Farm came to be because this area was once an 11 hectare pearl farm with thousands of white-lipped oysters.

Dakak, Dipolog City

The famous Dakak beach is famous for its strikingly shaped bay and powdery white sand. It is dubbed as the diving Mecca in Mindanao, Philippines. The perfect blue waters and diving sites attracts tourists local and foreigners alike. It is nestled on the tip of northern Zamboanga and faces the Sulu Sea in the west and on the east side, it is surrounded by mountains.

Pagudpud Island, Ilocos Norte

Ilocos Norte's Pagudpud Island is not comparable to the more sophisticated resorts found in Boracay. But the northern-most stretch of Saud Beach has sand as fine and white found in the other beaches like that of Boracay.
